Our class session on Friday evening will be presentation "intensive." Typically we'll have a fair amount of time for group activities and the such. But not this Friday.
Instead I want to make sure we're more-or-less on the same page about some fundamental issues. We'll have time to briefly discuss the knowledge dig responses, and I'll cover some issues about the group blog project. But most of the upcoming class will focus on a formal presentation of issues related to motivation in general, and a closer look at self-determination in specific.
We'll have 2 doctoral-student guest e-presenters, and we'll look at 3 case studies of how motivation plays out in adult life. In future class sessions we'll focus on helping students with low-to-moderate levels of motivation. But to build a foundation, I want us to consider some case studies of adults who have high levels of motivation.
