There are 3 different follow ups to our live class session which I've posted to the Self-Determination page within the Learn section. The first (see entry just below) is to make the multimedia presentations shared in class available to you. The second is to briefly respond to some Knowledge Dig issues that I did not have time to address in class. The third is to point out specific issues in the 5 articles you read that I also did not have time to do in class. Each of these 3 things are optional downloads/reading. However, you may want to read more about each one.

self-determination presentations
At our live class session I shared two multimedia presentations about self-determination theory. One movie was made by Cheryl Wozniak, the other by Helen Piserchio. I’m providing these movies as optional downloads if you want to use or review them at some future date. Both movies are about 15 minutes long, and the total size of the download is 52 Mb.
These movies are posted on the Self-Determination page within the Learn section, or you can simply download below.

friday is presentation intensive
Our class session on Friday evening will be presentation "intensive." Typically we'll have a fair amount of time for group activities and the such. But not this Friday.
Instead I want to make sure we're more-or-less on the same page about some fundamental issues. We'll have time to briefly discuss the knowledge dig responses, and I'll cover some issues about the group blog project. But most of the upcoming class will focus on a formal presentation of issues related to motivation in general, and a closer look at self-determination in specific.
We'll have 2 doctoral-student guest e-presenters, and we'll look at 3 case studies of how motivation plays out in adult life. In future class sessions we'll focus on helping students with low-to-moderate levels of motivation. But to build a foundation, I want us to consider some case studies of adults who have high levels of motivation.
See you soon, and thanks for the great knowledge dig 2 contributions!
